We had a small family gathering in Alameda this Christmas. Sherry's mom was up visiting from Southern California, and my grand-son, Alan, was home on leave from the Navy, so it was good to see him again. It's been awhile. But, alas, my son-in-law had to work Christmas Day, and my daughter in Vermont opted for snow rather than sunshine. She'll be out in April when the weather is nicer.
